Raddy Antic appointed Serbia coach

Radomir Antic has been appointed as the new national coach of Serbia following the sacking of Miroslav Djukic.

Antic, 59, has not worked as coach since leaving Celta Vigo four years ago and has been working as a media commentator.

Djukic left his position last week after the Serbian Olympic side, which he also coached, failed to win a match at the Beijing games.

Antic, the only man to have coached Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, as well as played for Luton Town, has signed a two-year deal with the Serbian federation.

Serbia face a tough 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign in a group that also contains France and Romania.
