Sevilla rocked by Kone injury

Another set of fixtures in the Premier League this coming weekend and we've got every game covered in our BestPrice coupon.

Sevilla's Ivory Coast striker Arouna Kone is expected to miss most of the 2008-09 season after suffering a serious knee injury while on international duty.

Kone tore ligaments in his left knee in the 10th minute of Ivory Coast's 2-1 friendly win over Guinea in Paris on Wednesday and will require surgery which is expected to sideline him for the most of the forthcoming campaign.

Kone, 24, joined Sevilla last summer from PSV Eindhoven for a club record £9million. He made only seven starting appearances, scoring once, but was expected to feature more this season with Brazilian Luis Fabiano expected to leave the club.
