Wales top Group B!
Wales produced a dominant performance to defeat an abject Russia side 3-0 in Toulouse. The victory means Chris Coleman’s side go through to the knockout stages as Group B winners.
In the groups’s other game, an insipid England were unable to break down a stubborn Slovakia defence. The 0-0 draw means go through as runners-up, while Slovakia must wait to find out if they make it through to the last 16 as one of the best third-placed teams.

Breathing space for Wilmots
After Belgium’s 2-0 opening match defeat to Italy, the knives were out for coach Marc Wilmots, who has consistently failed to get the most out of a highly talented group of players.
The under-fire Wilmots bought himself some temporary respite with the comfortable 3-0 win over Ireland and, as Paddy Angew reports, he is now hoping that this success can remove the pall of discontent that has been hanging over the Belgian camp in the early stages of the tournament.
