Here’s your daily round-up of transfer gossip from World Soccer.
MOURINHO KEEN ON REUNION WITH FELLAINI
It’s fair to say that this isn’t the sort of transfer news that Tottenham Hotspur fans would’ve been hoping to wake up to after losing 3-1 to Manchester United on Sunday. According to Voetball 24 via The Sun, Jose Mourinho is planning a possible reunion with midfielder Marouane Fellaini by bringing him to Spurs.
The 33-year-old has been playing in China for Shandong Luneng since leaving Manchester United in 2019. He was a popular figure during his time at Old Trafford, and formed a very good relationship with Mourinho. However, after playing in China for two years, there are doubts as to whether he could get back up to speed in the Premier League.
POCHETTINO CHASING KANE
Speaking of reunions, Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino remains keen on being reunited with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. According to Telefoot, Pochettino has approached Spurs and the 27-year-old about the possibility of a reunion in Paris. It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is willing to sell one of his prize assets, but Kane has already fuelled speculation about his future by refusing to comment until after the European Championships.
SANCHO SAGA RETURNS
Despite last summer’s saga, Manchester United have refused to rule out another move for Jadon Sancho this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News. Even though The Red Devils have since invested £46 million in unproven right-sided forwards Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make another move for the Borussia Dortmund megastar, so long as the deal in place is fair.
