Brazilian World Cup-winning hero Ronaldinho has been fined by Paris Saint-Germain for returning late, without permission, from his Christmas and new year holiday in Rio de Janeiro.
PSG president Laurent Perpere told Ronaldinho of the disciplinary decision at the weekend.
Ronaldinho, who is reported to have grown increasingly restless at the club, returned five days after the rest of the squad had resumed training.
Coach Luis Fernandez was so disappointed with the player’s fitness he had already set him a special training regime and decided to omit him from the first two matches on the resumption of the league campaign – against Ajacciothis week and Le Havre (Jan 15).
