Juventus have denied reports linking Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids with a move to Serie A rivals Roma.
“We will certainly keep Davids for this season. There is no reason to sell him,” said general manager Luciano Moggi.
Roma coach Fabio Capello is believed to have offered the midfielder a four-year contract, while Juve were said to be demanding striker Marco Delvecchio in exchange.
“The player will come to Rome and Juventus will accept our conditions,” claimed Roma president Franco Sensi recently.
The Dutch internationalendured a fractious relationship with coach Marcelo Lippi last season after the pair clashed over Lippi’s decision to drop Davids for Juventus Champions League tie with Arsenal.
