Spain’s Valladolid have sacked their coach Fernando Vazquez and replaced him with assistant Antonio Santos.
The club are languishing one spot above the relegation zone, and matters came to a head with the 3-1 defeat to Mallorca at the weekend.
Vazquez joined Vallodolid team last year after Valladolid, helping the club to a respectable 14th place in the table.
Santos a veteran of Spanish football, has been with the club for decades, enjoying two brief spells in charge during the 1980’s and 90’s.
