Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz, who has been tipped to leave the club at the end of the season, has admitted he misses life at Manchester United.
Real’s exit from the Champions League, combined with their recent dip in form in the league, jhas intensifed the speculation about Queiroz’s position.
Should Los Merengues end the season empty-handed, Queiroz is expected to leave and there have been reports that he would be welcomed back to Old Trafford with open arms.
“I have friends in England and it’s clear that I miss Manchester,” Queiroz told a Portuguese radio station.
“They valued my work there and it was always recognised.
Acknowledging that his job at Madid is on the line, Queiroz added: “I will only remain at Real Madrid if the fans and the president are happy with me.”
