Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has told supporters that the club had still to decide on the fate of manager Claudio Ranieri.
With sepculation growing that Ranieri wil be sacked at the end of the season, Kenyon, addressing a supporters dinner. said: “Claudio has got three years on his contract.
“There’s been no decision taken and there’s been no one appointed.”
Ranieri has admitted that he did not expect to be kept on.
A number of supporters heckled Kenyon, accusing him of undermining Ranieri’s position at Stamford Bridge.
But the former Manchester United chief executive defended himself, declaring: “Through all this period we’ve conducted discussions on an on-going basis with Claudio.”
