Tottenham will release Darren Anderton, Gus Poyet and Christian Ziege at the end of the season as the club looks to rebuild following a disappointing season.
All three are appproaching the end of their careers and for Poyet, at 36, there are doubts as to whether he will play again at the highest level.
Anderton, 32, joined Spurs from Portsmouth in 1992 and made 358 appearances despite lengthy periods on the sidelines due to injury.
Ziege, 32, joined from Liverpool in 2001 but he like Anderton has seen his White Hart Lane career punctuated with debilitating injuries.
‘In respect of those leaving us, I should like to thank the players and wish them well in the future,’ said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said.
“In particular we wish Darren well after no less than 12 years at the club. Gus and Christian have given the supporters much to cheer about during their stay, too.
“We wish them luck for the future.”
Another played expected to leave was club skipper Jamie Redknapp. However, the injury-prone midfielder has been awarded a one-year extension.
‘I’m pleased to announce that Jamie will be staying with us for next season,’ Levy added.
