Senegal winger Khalilou Fadiga has undergone surgery in the hope of rectifying an abnormal heartbeat problem which has impaied his career with Inter.
Fadiga joined the Serie A side from Auxerre in July last year but was out of action for six months after Italian doctors said the player had a heart complaint threatened his life.
“Khalilou was taken into hospital Tuesday for a planned operation Wednesday,” Fadiga’s Belgian wife Jill told reporters.”
Fadig is perhaps best remembered for his role in the Senegal side which reached the 2002 World Cup quarter finals.
