Birmingham are set to sign Chelsea’s Jesper Gronkjaer in a £1.2m deal, according to reports.
The club have also been linked with a move for Liverpool striker Emile Heskey and Leicester’s Muzzy Izzet in what promises to be a busy summer at St Andrews. .
Danish midfielder Gronkjaer, who cost Chelsea almost £8m four years ago, has never secured an automatic first-team spot in Chelsea’s galaxy of big-name stars. His position at Stamford Bridge will be further undermined when new signing Arjen Robben arrives in the summer.
