Czech Republic have asked UEFA to review the yellow card awarded to captain Pavel Nedved in the quarter-final tie against Denmark.
Nedved was booked in the quarter-final but television replays confirmed that Jesper Gronkjaer dived in the incident.
The midfielder will be banned for the final if he collects another booking in the semi-final against Greece on Thursday.
Earlier, Czech coach Karel Bruckner said: “It was wrong but we are not going to do anything. There will be no protest.”
The Juventus player missed last year’s Champions League final because of suspension but despite the risk of history repeating itself, he will not be rested for the semi-final.
“He will play against Greece, of course,” confirmed Bruckner. “We can’t play without him.”
Nedved said: “I know I have to be very careful or I could miss the final – if we go through.
“But also I know that it is a tough match in the semi-finals and it is difficult because there is a lot of pressure.
“I want to give a total performance, with full commitment, and it is difficult to be very careful when you feel like this.
“I want to be running and running but I know I need to tread softly.”
