US international DaMarcus Beasley has completed his move to PSV from Chicago Fire.
The midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Dutch club.
MLS club Fire will reportedly receive 2 million Euros for the 22-year-old, who had been at the club for five years, winning 36 caps for the USA along the way.
“I have a very good feeling about joining PSV. The club have wanted me for some time. Guus Hiddink is a very good coach and I hope to convince the supporters of my ability,” said Beasley on the club’s website.
Chicago head coach Dave Sarachan had mixed feelings about Beasley’s departure.
“It is bittersweet having to say goodbye to DaMarcus,” said Sarachan. “He was the ultimate professional during his time in Chicago and will undoubtedly go down as one of the finest young players ever to suit up for the Fire.
“The time and opportunity to ply his trade overseas has arrived, and I wish nothing but the best for him as he continues his career in the sport of soccer.”
With Arjen Robben having departed for Chelsea over the summer, PSV may use Beasley as a direct replacement on the left wing.
