Reports from France say Olympique Marseille are on the verge of three new signings.
French international defender Bixente Lizarazu is the highest profile target – he is said to be mulling over a two-year deal with the club after leaving Bayern Munich this summer at the end of his contract.
Talks are also reported to have started with Fulham’s Steve Marlet, with the player’s agents discussing an extension to the striker’s loan deal to keep him at OM for another year.
Anderlecht striker Aruna Dindane is also being linked with Marseille, as a possible replacement for Didier Drogba, who signed for Chelsea this week.
The French club will face stiff competition for the Ivory Coast international’s signature however, with a number of European clubs currently tracking him. Among others Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be an admirer of the 23-year-old, and Portsmouth are reported to have already had an offer for him turned down.
