Wolfsburg have fired coach Holger Fach and club manager Thomas Strunz, after an eight-match run without a victory.
Fach replaced Erik Gerets as coach before the start of the current season, while Strunz had held the manager’s position since January 2005.
The recent poor run saw the club slide to 13th place at the halfway stage of the season, with 18 points from 17 games. Saturday’s defeat to bottom-of-the-table Kaiserslautern appears to have been the final straw for the club.
