Fiorentina have reinstated Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov into the first team squad.
The forward had been training with the youth team after an falling out with manager Cesare Prandelli.
The news of Bojinov’s reinstatement was announced by sports director Pantaleo Corvino.
“I’m convinced Bojinov is a player who represents value for this club,” Corvino said.
“Everyone is wrong from time-to-time, especially when you are young.
“I’m convinced he understood his mistakes and can now come back even stronger than he was before.
“We have defended the player. We have defended this investment and the guy, despite all of the rumours.
“I now think he’s ready to be part of the first team again.”
The sports director also underlined the team’s aims for the remainder of the season.
“Our next target is to earn Uefa Cup qualification,” added Corvino.
“We started off by targeting survival, but the job of this coach and of the fantastic group of players is showing really good things on the pitch.”
