Lionel Messi was once again on target for Barcelona, scoring the winner in the 2-1 win over Sevilla, to take his tally for the season to 37.

The Argentinian also extended his scoring run to 15 league games and with Cristiano Ronaldo drawing a rare blank for Real Madrid, Messi’s lead at the top of the ESM Golden Shoe rankings currently stands at an impregnable-looking 26 points (13 goals).

Elsewhere, there were goals for several other strikers in the top ten, with Radamel Falcao, Jackson Martinez (two), and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all scoring for Atletico Madrid, Porto and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
