The young Milan side were coached by legendary Italy striker Pippo Inzaghi and fittingly, Petagna admitted the manager was an inspiration to him.
“I’m glad that I was able to give the team a hand,” said the Italian Under-19 international.
“It wasn’t easy for me, having spent six months without really playing, but we played a great match.
“It would be my dream to follow in the footsteps of Inzaghi. He’s a great coach, like [Clarence] Seedorf.
