England’s Harry Kane is set to start against the Czech Republic, while Scotland head into a must-win clash against Croatia. We’ve got everything you need to know ahead of Day 12 at Euro 2020.

Euro 2020 – Harry Kane to start for England against the Czech Republic

After a disappointing display against Scotland on Friday, England will be looking to make sure they finish the group stage strongly by beating the Czech Republic and topping Group D. Gareth Southgate has come under criticism for his tactics so far this tournament, and has hinted at changes ahead of tonight’s game. However, one player who won’t lose his place in the starting line-up is Harry Kane, despite the fact that he’s yet to open his account in the tournament.

England’s midfielder Phil Foden (L) and England’s forward Harry Kane walk off the pitch at half-time during the UEFA EURO 2020 Group D football match between England and Scotland at Wembley Stadium in London on June 18, 2021.

Similarly to England, the Czech Republic have given themselves a great chance of progressing into the knockout stages. Patrik Schick’s three goals against Scotland and Croatia have been enough to see them pick up four points so far. He’ll be key again to their chances of picking up a result at Wembley.

Elsewhere in Group D, Scotland face Croatia at Hampden Park knowing that they need to win if they are to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages. Even though they were much-improved against England, they are still yet to find the back of the net.

In comparison, Croatia have so far struggled to reach the levels they set at the 2018 World Cup. Like Scotland, Croatia have just one point to show for their efforts so far. That being said, the likes of Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic still have enough individual quality to cause plenty of problems for Scotland.

Croatia’s forward Ivan Perisic (L) is congratulated by Croatia’s forward Bruno Petkovic for scoring their first goal during the UEFA EURO 2020 Group D football match between Croatia and Czech Republic at Hampden Park in Glasgow on June 18, 2021.
