Here’s your daily round-up of the latest transfer gossip from World Soccer.
BAYERN MUNICH SIGN UPAMECANO FROM RB LEIPZIG
After months of speculation about his future, it’s finally been confirmed that RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano will sign for Bayern Munich on July 1. It was only a matter of days ago when transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the defender had cut down his potential list of destinations down to a final three: Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Since then, the centre-back has opted to stay in Germany, and will join Hans-Dieter Flick’s side at the end of the season. Upamecano’s £38 million release clause kicks in by then, so they will be picking themselves up a real bargain in the current market.
POCHETTINO KEEN ON LLORIS REUNION
Another player who regularly featured in the gossips columns throughout January was Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli. He looked almost-certain to reunite with former boss Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, but he was denied a move.
However, Alli isn’t the only player that Pochettino is understood to be keen on luring to France from his former club. According to Football Insider, Pochettino is keen on signing his former goalkeeper, 34-year-old Frenchman Hugo Lloris.
ARSENAL OFFERED EDOUARD
Even though Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick for Arsenal against Leeds on Sunday, Mikel Arteta is likely going to be in the market for a new striker at the end of the season. According to the Express, The Gunners have been told they can sign Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard for just £15 million.
