Here’s your daily round-up of the latest transfer gossip from World Soccer.
CONTE WANTS TO SIGN KANTE
Antonio Conte is eager to be reunited with N’Golo Kante at Inter Milan, after signing him for Chelsea in 2016. The 29-year-old midfielder was a key player as The Blues won the Premier League, and it’s fair to say that he hasn’t quite reached the same levels since Conte was sacked.
According to Canal, via The Sun, Conte could make a move for Kante in the summer, but Real Madrid are also understood to be monitoring the midfielder’s situation.
BARCELONA REMAIN KEEN ON DEPAY
It seemed certain that Memphis Depay would be leaving Lyon to join Barcelona in this summer’s transfer market, but it was one of numerous deals which never materialised. That being said, according to The Sun, the La Liga giants remain interested in the winger.
Not only that, but Depay is understood to be frustrated at Lyon, and is increasingly keen to secure a move away from the club. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the former Manchester United flop move to the Nou Camp at January, so long as all parties involved are happy with the move.
ROMERO TRAINING ON HIS OWN
Speaking of Manchester United, Sergio Romero is training on his own and wants to leave the club on a free transfer in January, according to The Sun.
Romero wanted to join Everton in this summer’s transfer window, but a move failed to go through before Deadline Day, which led to an angry outburst from his wife on social media. He’ll want to ensure the same situation doesn’t materialise in January.
