Footballers are encouraged to respect their opponents at all times, but Trinidad and Tobago’s Ataullah Guerra took that concept a little too far when he came face-to-face with Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
As he lined up to shake hands during the pre-match introductions, Guerra eschewed the traditional handshake and opted to bow instead.
To no one’s great surprise, Argentina ran out comfortable winners 3-0.
