Barcelona have told Manchester United that they have the resourcesto prise Ruud van Nistelrooy away from Old Trafford in the summer.
Despite the Dutchman’s confirming that he intends to stay at Old Trafford, Van Nistelrooy remains the subject of trasfer speculation – a fact confirmed by one of the club’s vice-presidents.
“The club will be able to invest Û50 to Û60 million in acquisitions,” Barcelona’s vice-president Ferran Soriano told COM Radio.
“All is possible, even van Nistelrooy.
“There is not any player who is out of our market, only ones that their clubs will not sell, such as (Thierry) Henry, the same as we will not sell Ronaldinho.
“There is a list for three names for each position.”
