Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa, who has been tipped to quit his post in the wake of his team’s poor World Cup showing, has blamed bad luck for his side’s unexpectely early departure.
“We had the same bad luck we had against England, we dominated the match, but weren’t able to come away with the win. If the ball doesn’t want to enter the net, there is little we can do,” said Bielsa.
The Argentina coach, who added he was ‘extremely sad about the elimination’, is expected to quit his post when his contract expires next month.
“I prefer not to speakabout this subject, but we were expected to win and we are already out the cup.”
