Monaco coach Didier Deschamps admitted that inexperience cost his side dear during their 3-0 Champions League final defeat to Porto.
Deschamps said: “It was difficult because Porto had more experience.
“In a final that’s important. I’m disappointed for my players they have done so well in a long, long season.”
“We have ended up with nothing. This final was a first occasion for my players and it proved too complicated for us.”
Deschamps also admitted that the loss Ludovic Giuly in the first-half through injury was a big blow to his side’s attacking intentions.
“Giuly’s injury was not good news for us – he is a very important for us on the offensive side,” he added.
