Emerson has completed his signing from Roma to Juventus, in a deal worth a reported £10m with Matteo Brighi going the other way.
Emerson had been the subject of immense transfer speculation in recent months with Real Madrid and Chelsea reported to be keen, but the Brazilian was eager to link up with his former boss, Fabio Capello, at the stadio Delli Alpi.
Roma President Franco Baldini admitted that whilst the terms of the deal were acceptable to his club, “the real winners are the player and his agent.”
The 28-year-old signed the contract on Tuesday, ending a year long wait to move to the Turin giants.
The talented midfielder joins a growing list of players who have left Roma, as the club attempts to clear massive debts.
