Barcelona defender Gabri has decided to stay at Camp Nou despite a late deadline day bid from West Ham for his services.
West Ham were thought to be close to securing a loan deal for the Spanish international, but the defnder has opted to stay at Barcelona and reassess his position in the summer when he will become a free agent.
“After much consideration, my final decision is to remain at Barca,” said Gabri.
“There have been some offers, but in the end, having spoken to my family, I have decided to stay. My mind is now only at Barcelona.
“I am aware that it will be difficult to have minutes [playing] but I have to fight until the end.”
