Pep Guardiola has won his appeal against a positive test for the steroid nandrolone taken when he was a Brescia player in the Serie A in 2001.
Guardiola, who now coaches Barcelona, tested positive shortly after joining Brescia in October 2001. He was suspended for four months and fined nearly $68,000 by the Italian federation.
He has always denied doping charges and had vowed to clear his name.
The federation said in a statement last week that it had accepted his appeal and cleared Guardiola of all charges.
Guardiola had also been found guilty by a court in Brescia and given a seven-month suspended prison sentence, but that verdict has also been overturned.
