Nwankwo Kanu says he is keen to join Aston Villa because he thinks he and Juan Pablo Angel could be a great pairing, according to agent Frank Sedoc.
The former Arsenal striker was thought to be heading to West Brom, but Sedoc says Villa is the most destination for the 27-year-old.
“He wants to see David O’Leary as soon as possible. He thinks Angel and him can be a good combination,” said Sedoc.
Nigerian international Kanu has also been linked with a move to Spain, while Charlton, who were previously linked with the player, have played down any rumours of a move to The Vallley.
