Barcelona’s teenage prodigy Leo Messi will be out for between four and six weeks after tearing a right leg muscle during Barca’s Champions League draw with Chelsea.
“Argentine striker Lionel Messi has a muscle tear in his right leg and according to FC Barcelona’s medical services, he will be out of action for between four and six weeks,” the club announced on its website.
The Argentinian teenager went off midway through the first half after pulling after being tackled by William Galllas.
“I am sad at having to have pulled out of such an important match,” Messi told Barca TV.
“Going up against Gallas I felt a first twinge and then in another action with (Arjen) Robben I realised I couldn’t continue.”
