Senegal coach Bruno Metsu believes his side’s 1-1 draw with Denmark, gives his team a great chance of progressing to the last 16.
“Our players have been given a great lift today,” Metsu said.
“They know they can qualify now.
“It was a great achievement to come back from 1-0 down. If we take a point against Uruguay next week, we’ll almost be through,” he added.
Danish coach Morten Olsen said his team struggled to cope wwith the physical nature of the Senegal side.
“We had to give everything to get a point. But in the second half they used three or four players in attack and they are very physical,” he said.
“It thought it was two teams who like to play football but I don’t think we played our normal game in the second half.
“Senegal are dangerous from free-kicks and corners and we gave them too much from those situations. But we have four points.”
