Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz is not considering resigning despite the club’s fifth successive defeat on Sunday which left them fourth in La Liga and forced to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Madrid ended an unhappy season with a 4-1 defeat at home to Real Sociedad which condemned them to fourth place in La Liga.
Speculation in Spain suggests that Queiroz will be fired in the summer, but the Portuguese coach insists he will continue to work until told otherwise.
“I have not spoken to the club’s president and I will not be speaking to him now,” said Queiroz.
“I don’t think that is the best time, I will go home and rest and tomorrow is another day.”
