New PFA Player of the Year, Riyad Mahrez, has quashed any prospects of him going back to his native Paris and playing for PSG.
Mahrez has been sensational for Leicester City this season – contributing to 28 of their league goals – and has been key to their Premier League title charge.
Mahrez has been highly sought after by many big European clubs including Arsenal, but the French-born Algerian international says that he has no plans to move away from England.
“Even today I am not too excited about the prospect of PSG. It is my town, but I do not see myself going back,” Mahrez said.
“I don’t really want to go back to France. France does not really excite me, I love England.
“We are fighters. And when I say to you ‘fighters’, I have never seen anything like this in my life. The guys are hungry like crazy and they let nothing go,” Mahrez told French magazine Onze Mondial.
Mahrez added: “You blast a shot straight into a guy’s face and he doesn’t even flinch.”
