Portuguese international Manuel Rui Costa, super-sub at Euro 2004 is not for sale, according to his agent Carlo Pallavicino.
Rui Costa played second fiddle to Brazilian starlet Kaka for much of last season, and more recently had been linked with Manchester Utd.
Moreover, he will be an integral part of Milan’s squad, as the Rossoneri look to defend their Scudetto, won so comfortably last year.
Rui Costa’s contract lasts until 2006, by which time he will be 34-years-old. Pallavicino’s comments suggest that Rui Costa will finish his career in Milan, unless Ancelotti decides he can leave.
Rui Costa has been given the number 10 shirt for the coming campaign, further proof that he is seen as an important member of Italy’s strongest team.
Having seen off the threat to his position of other Brazilian, Rivaldo, The Portuguese playmaker is keen to secure his place in the Italian champions first team.
