Valencia have completed the transfer of former French Under-21 international defender Anthony Reveillere from Rennes.
Reveillere joins the reigning Spanish champions on an initial six-month loan, in exchange for a fee in the region of €1m. However, Valencia are expected to sign 23-year-old on a permanent basis in the summer for a reputed €5m fee.
“I am very happy to be a Valencia player,” said Reveillere.
“It is a pity to leave after a result like that,” he said referring to his final game as a Rennes player (last night’s defeat to Bastia).
‘But I’ll never forget what Rennes have done for me.”
A bonus for Valencia is that Reveillere is eligible to play in this season’s Champions League.
