Villarreal have voinced their concerns about security arrangements ahead of next week’s Champions League match with Rangers.
Reports suggest that up to 10,000 Rangers fans will travel to Spain for the game, though they have only been allocated only 3,000 tickets.
“This is a very strange situation,” Villarreal director Juan Manuel Llaneza said.
“We have been trying everything to help our fans buy extra tickets for very little money.
“The reality is that our fans have not reacted the way we expected and now the tickets are going to the visiting team.
“To be honest, rather than solve the problem we have made it worse.
“Now our fans will be sitting next to the Rangers fans. We had the same problem in the qualifier tie when the Everton fans were sitting next to our fans.”
