Arsene Wenger saluted his players after Arsenal completed an unbeaten league season with a 2-1 win over Leicester.
“As long as you believe, then it is possible. It’s a fantastic moment. I always had that dream and to fulfil it is marvellous,” said Wenger.
“I think this is the best title win because we have always been at the top and to lead from the front is difficult and not to lose a game is amazing.
“These players want to get better and I’m confident they want more.”
“There is so much talent here – we know each other well and you can see it on the pitch
Skipper Patrick Vieira saluted the team’s spirit as they became the first team to go through a league campaign unbeaten since Preston in 1888-89.
“We have a really good dressing room, and we give our best, always 100% for the team,” he said.
“Our intention from the start of the season was to go unbeaten, because you want to win.
“You never know how far you can go, but this is fantastic. This team will be remembered forever.”
Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp, who collected his third Premier League medal, admitted that this triumph eclipsed the previous successes.
“This is definitely the best title because we are unbeaten,” he said.
“There is so much talent in this team. We know each other well now and you can see it on the pitch. “We will keep trying to get better.”
