They will be staying at the Hotel Parque Balneario in the heart of the city’s historic district and will train at the CT Rei Pele – the lavishly equipped training ground of Santos, which was named in honour of their most illustrious player, Pele.
All Mexico’s group games are in the north of Brazil and they will clock up over 7,500 miles round trip with each flight taking over two and a half hours.
Their first match is in Natal against Cameroon. It is a two hour 55 minute flight to travel the 1,798 miles. They then have a 1,474 mile trip to Fortaleza, a time of just under three hours, to take on hosts Brazil.
The last game is in Recife against Croatia, some 1,622 miles, and a flight time of two hours 40 minutes.
